Introduction to SIPs
Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) technology is the next generation of sustainable modular timber based construction. Consisting of an insulated foam core sandwiched between two oriented strand boards, The Kingspan TEK® Building System is a dynamic solution that can be utilised to construct both SIP Wall Panels (loadbearing and non-loadbearing) and SIP Roof Panels.
With the increase in demand for offsite construction and higher levels of thermal energy efficiency in building regulations, SIPTech Construction pride ourselves in delivering SIP solutions to accommodate your requirements. A combination of unrivalled energy efficiency, along with low site wastage and high build speed onsite make the Kingspan TEK® Building System a cost-effective build solution, benefitting the Main Contractor by reducing preliminaries and mitigating cost savings across the whole project.
An important element to consider when it comes to SIP builds is that they are not limited to utilising SIP panels throughout, a hybrid method can be adopted where SIPs can be combined with other construction methods to create tailored solutions to accommodate your specifications and budget. For example, the TEK® Building System panels can be used as a roofing system in conjunction with masonry or timber frame walls or the TEK® Building System wall panels can be used in conjunction with a traditional truss rafter roof etc.
With endless design flexibility and whether you wish to obtain a quotation for a SIPs install package, a hybrid install package, or a full turnkey install package, SIPTech Construction are ready to adapt and assist you throughout the entire project timeline.
